Information minister heads for Bahrain
SANA'A. Feb.08 (Saba) - Information Minister
Hassan Ahmad al-Lawzi on Monday headed for Kingdom of Bahrain to partake in the 8th
Gulf
Radio and Television Production Festival set for Tuesday in capital, Manama.
During the visit, the minister will attend a ceremony scheduled for the final day
of festival to award the pioneers of broadcasting in the Gulf States.
It is the first participation of Yemen in the festival, annually organized, since
it joined the Gulf Radio and TV Authority.
On the margins of the festival, al-Lawzi will meet GCC Information Ministers to
discuss future cooperation with each of their countries in the media field, he
said.
The four-day event will be chaired by the Bahraini Information Minister Nabeel Al
Hamer, with Dr Abdulwahab Baghdadi, director-general of Gulf Vision and Khalil
Althawadi,
chief executive of Bahrain Radio and Television Corporation (BRTC), as deputies.
