JICA GRANTS 36 VEHICLES' ENGINES FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTES
SANA'A, Feb. 08 (Saba) - Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA) provided on Monday 36 vehicles' engines for technical
education and vocational training institutes in Yemen.
The grant's agreement was signed in Ministry of Planning and
International Cooperation by Minister of Technical Education and
Vocational Training Ibrahim Omar Hajri and JICA Resident
Representative in Yemen Takeshi Komori.
It stipulated that the JICA would grant 36 vehicles' engines
provided by Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) for the institutes in order
to support technical education and vocational training sector in
Yemen.
The agreement is a beginning of other similar technical grants,
which would be extended to Yemen under the Japanese support for the
technical education and vocational training sector in the future,
Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Hisham
Sharaf said.
He praised the JICA's contributions to the government's efforts to
promote capacity building and potentials of specialized institutes
in the technical education and vocational training field.
