Noted film writer Shabd Kumar passes away
Mumbai, Jun 21 (PTI) - Film writer Shabd Kumar died of a massive cardiac arrest at his residence in suburban Mumbai here Saturday afternoon.
He was 75 and is survived by a son and daughter.
He wrote Raj Babbar's debut film 'Insaaf Ka Tarazu' directed by B.R. Chopra. Kumar was the recipient of the filmfare award for dialogues for the film.
Apart from this, he wrote dialogues of films like 'Insaaf ki devi', 'Ganga Tere Desh mein', 'Insaaf Ki Pukar', 'Mera Sathi' and 'Aaj Ki Awaz'.
Kumar edited the trade publication 'Film Industry Journal'.
