Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques receives Chinese VP

Jeddah, June 21 (SPA) - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace in Jeddah today visiting Vice-President of China Xi Jinping and the accompanying delegation.
At the outset of the audience, the Chinese Vice-President conveyed to the King the greetings of China's President Hu Jintao and the government and people of the People's Republic of China, expressing pleasure of meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and appreciating the care and polite treatment the Chinese community in the Kingdom are receiving as well as the advanced and generous services extended to Chinese Muslim pilgrims and Umrah performers during performing their rituals in the Kingdom.
On his part, the King welcomed the coming of the Chinese
Vice-President, wishing him a good stay in the Kingdom. The king also
sent his greetings to the Chinese President, government and people.
Then they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries, in addition to the overall developments at the regional and international arenas and the position of the two friendly countries towards them.
The talks also tackled the agenda of the forthcoming energy ministers of producing and consuming countries meeting scheduled for Jeddah tomorrow under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
The Chinese side also hailed the initiative of the Kingdom, calling for this meeting, and its keenness on the stability of the oil international market and activation of the cooperation among oil
producing and consuming countries.
The audience was attended by Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mat-hami, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet for Shoura Council Affairs, who is the current companion minister of the Chinese delegation, Saudi ambassador to China Yahya Abdulkareem Al-Zaid and China's ambassador to the Kingdom Yang Hong Lin.
