243% increase in exports from Iran's KFZ

TEHRAN, Feb. 7 (MNA) – Exports from Iran's Kish Free Zone climbed in the 10-month period ending January 20, 2010.
During this period the island exported $66.2 million of products and technical and engineering services which shows a 243 percent increase compared to the same period in the year before.
The products exported in the same period last year was $19.3 billion.
The opening of new industrial units alongside the previous units is the reason for the rise in the free zone.
The public relations office of Kish Free Zone cited pharmaceutical and hygienic products, marine products, medical equipment, automobile parts, computer translator systems, clothing, excavation machinery, two-cabin pick-up trucks, ambulances, paper tissues and paint as the products manufactured there.
