Foreign interference has repercussions: Iranian FM

TEHRAN, Feb. 7 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki stated here on Sunday that foreign interference in the region has serious repercussions for Iran and Pakistan.
In a meeting with Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan Fahmida Mirza in Tehran, Mottaki said that in spite of the setbacks suffered by foreign powers in Afghanistan, they still insist on their wrongful policies.
He also said the Islamic Republics of Iran and Pakistan are two important countries located in a strategic region.
Mottaki called for expansion of economic ties between Tehran and Islamabad.
The Pakistani official congratulated Mottaki on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and noted that Iran’s revolution had profound effects on other Islamic countries.
