Mottaki: Iran favors expansion of ties with independent states

Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday that Iran’s foreign policy is based on expansion of relations with independent states, Bosnia in particular.
Mottaki told new Bosnian Ambassador to Tehran Amir Hadzic Kadovic that Iranian people and government supported Bosnian people and government during war out of humanitarian duty and principally, friendship in need is friendship indeed.
He said Iran is ready for expansion of relations in trade domain and implementation of the economic projects.
Ambassador Hadzic Kadovic thanked Iranian government and people on behalf of Bosnian government and people for their support.
“Your sincere support for Bosnia-Herzegovina in the past will never be forgotten by Bosnians," the ambassador said.
"The support was when the Bosnians were in dire need of it.”/end
