Nearly 267 traffic accidents kill 56 people in week

SANA'A, Feb. 06 (Saba) - About
267 traffic accidents have claimed the lives of 56 people and injured about 192
others seriously
throughout the country in one week.
According to statistic report issued by the Traffic General Administration, the
accidents distributed to 149 crash accidents, 88 running over, 24 vehicles'
overturning and
6 falling accidents.
The accidents caused material losses reached over YR 46.6 million.
The report added that the capital Sana'a came first in terms of accident number and
death cases with about 90 accidents caused 12 deaths followed by Taiz governorate
with
38 accidents and 10 death cases.
The main reasons behind the accidents were excessive speed, drivers' neglect,
technical defects, wrong overtaking and others.
