AL-ARHABI AFFIRMS IMPORTANCE OF RAISING PUBLIC JOB EFFICIENCY

SANA'A, Feb.06 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi affirmed on Saturday the
importance of promoting the public job efficiency.

This came in the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on redefining
the State's jobs, chaired by al-Arhabi and attended by Finance,
Justice and Legal Affairs Ministers.

The attendants discussed details in the study prepared by Ministry
of Civil Service on redefining the state's jobs and reducing the
size of the functional structure and making more space for the
contributions of the private sector to serve the total development
process.

The study included proposals of a number of alternatives and
recommendations to set a complementary vision for reconsidering the
state jobs, so as to meet the present requirements before referring
this vision to the Cabinet to be discussed and approved.

It is worth to mention that redefining the stat jobs represents a
part of the national agenda for reforms and an identification of the
points relating to upgrading the civil service in order to achieve
the development objectives and reinforce the government capacities
to face the current challenges.
