US, allies, interested in nuclear apartheid: Iran

Belgrade, June 21, (IRNA) - Iran's Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh said that certain states led by the US are interested in nuclear apartheid and science monopoly.
Addressing a group of foreign diplomats and political and economic
experts, he said that those countries want to deprive Iran of progress in the field of science and technology.
Briefing the audience on latest developments over Iran's peaceful
nuclear program, he said, Iran has started its nuclear activities some 50 years ago.
The Iranian nation, despite 30 years of sanctions by big powers, have become more united and consolidated and will continue with resistance to the bullying powers, he said.
"Progress of Iran will benefit the entire globe."
He further stressed that the main objective of the national nuclear program is to produce fuel for the country's nuclear power plants.
Referring to the US accusations against Iran's peaceful nuclear
activities, he said despite recent reports released by the IAEA chief
Mohamed ElBaradei on peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program,
Washington still continues with its anti-Iran propaganda.
The recent reports by the UN nuclear agency indicated that Iran has
made no diversion from civilian purpose, Soltanieh said.
"The reports also indicated that all Iranian nuclear sites have been
put under full IAEA supervision."
