Iranian Revolution changed entire course of history
Islamabad, Feb 3, IRNA – Pakistani political leaders here on Wednesday said that Iranian Islamic Revolution is a great event in the history and had a profound impact not at Iran but on the whole world.
Talking to IRNA with a reference to the 31st anniversary of the Revolution, they agreed that the revolution is a beacon for the whole world community.
Senator and Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party, Muhammad Jehangir Bader said that Iranian Islamic Revolution had changed the fate of the nation.
He was of the view that the revolution inspired people elsewhere like Palestine and Lebanon.
"The revolution had transforming effect on the Iranian nation", he added.
He said that there were monarchs and dictatorships in many countries of the world at the time of Iranian Revolution but after the success of the Revolution only democratic forces remained on the scene.
“Success of Revolution is the defeat of dictators and monarchs”, Jehangir Bader viewed.
"This happened because Iranian nation and its leadership were sincere to their country", added the Senator.
He said that the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini overthrew the US-backed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi regime.
Jehangir Bader said that Imam Khomeini with his efforts also made a party that has contributed a lot for the survival of the Revolution.
He prayed for the stability of Iran and Islamic Revolution.
Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch expressing his views said that the Revolution is the outcome of the struggle of Imam Khomeini against the western powers.
He said that the people of Iran under the sane leadership of Imam Khomeini stood up against the mighty oppressor.
"Now the time has come to turn ourselves to Islam and Iran is an example before us", added Liaqat Baloch.
He was of the view that Iranian nation has successfully sustained the western propaganda against them. "People in Iran are satisfied with their leadership that has displayed good governance in the society", said the politician.
He said that western powers tried a lot to destabilize the Iranian government after the Revolution but failed to accomplish their evil designs and despite the conspiracies of west against the Islamic Revolution, it has been surviving for last many years.
“Iran has tackled all the issues in a very effective manner without compromising its integrity", he said./end
