Iran-Senegal expand agricultural cooperation

Tehran, Feb 3, IRNA – Iran and Senegal expanded cooperation in the agricultural sector by signing four agreements.
The agreements were signed Tuesday night during a meeting between Iran’s Minister of Agricultural Jihad Sadeq Khalilian and his visiting Senegalese counterpart Fatou Gaye Sarr.
Based on the agreements, the two countries will cooperate in such areas as research, education and training, production of plants, water, soil and related industries.
Khalilian stressed the importance of mutual cooperation in manipulating the content of the agreements and hoped for further collaboration between the two nations in the future.
The Senegalese minister said her government would employ all its means to make the agreements speedily operational./end
