GOBISUMBER POPULATION INCREASES
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The number of households has increased by 313 reaching 4,144 in Gobisumber province at the end of 2009 against the 2008.
The province's population totalled 14,135 increasing 820 persons or 6.2 percent. A total of 31.2 percent of the population is aged 0-15, 63.6 percent accounts labor age people and 5.2 percent is the elders.

According to the nationwide livestock census carried out at the end of 2009, it was counted 2,569 persons belonging to 730 herder households in Gobisumber province. It has been snown that 403 out of total herder families were led by single women. Gobisumber is home to 168,723 livestock according to the census. Out of them, 0.3 percent occupies camel, 4.1 percent--horse, 2.0-- cattle, 41.3 percent--sheep and 52.3 percent accounts for goat. There are 22 herders families who raises more than 1,000 animals each.
In addition, the number of pigs and chickens have increased in the province.
