SANA'A, Feb. 01 (Saba) - Police in Sana'a
have thwarted an attempt to bomb an oil pipeline by a man that ran away after an
exchange
of gunfire with police, the Interior Ministry has reported.
The 42-year-old suspect
put explosives at the roadside of highway in the district of Jehana that were
discovered
by a security patrol. The suspect, named as al Maeti, exchanged fire with the police
patrol and he was wounded, according to the ministry's Information Bureau. He was
wounded
in his right hand but could flee, the bureau added. Al Maeti might shelter to a
medical doctor in the district, where he lived, and then flee to another
unidentified place….perhaps
he traveled to Sana'a, the bureau said. A hunt was launched for him. FR
