Official: Iran enjoys foreign trade boost despite sanctions

Moscow, Feb 2, IRNA -- Iran enjoys enhanced foreign trade despite the economic sanctions, head of chamber of commerce, industries and mines said on Monday.
Mohammad Nahavandian made the remarks in a meeting with Russian trade officials in Moscow.
He said Iran’s foreign trade has exceeded dlrs 120 billion in 2009, adding that the global financial crisis had the minimum effect on Iranian economy compared to other countries.
Nahavandian said that most countries are against imposing sanctions on Iran and have a cordial economic and commercial relations with Iran.
He added that Iran-Russia economic cooperation has increased in all arenas, calling for expansion of mutual ties with Moscow in the fields of industrial and technical cooperation./end
