LIVESTOCK LOSS INCREASES TO ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Due to severe winter, a total of one million 712,259 heads of livestock have perished nationwide as of January 31, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry reports.
According to the ministry, 29 soums of 7 provinces are declared as the disaster area, 35 soums of 6 provinces have suffered from zud, 74 of 14 provinces are to be severely affected and 75 of 12 aimags might suffer from the severe winter.
