Iranian FM meets with African leaders
Addis Ababa, Feb 1, IRNA – Iran’s foreign minister conferred with African leaders on the related issues, it is reported on Monday.
Manouchehr Mottaki met with the Presidents of Senegal, Abdoulaye Wade, Somalia, Sheikh Sharif, Equatorial Guinea and Burundi.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 14th Summit Meeting of the African Union (AU).
During his talks with the Somalian president, Iran’s Mottaki said Tehran is ready to help solve the problems in Somalia.
Mottaki said tranquility and security should be brought to the country.
Meanwhile, he called for continuous cooperation between Iran and Senegal.
Mottaki, returned to Tehran on Monday./end
