Iran, Denmark to expand trade ties
COPENHAGEN, Feb. 1 (MNA) -- President of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM) Mohammad Nahavandian met his Danish counterpart in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed economic developments, trade volume between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation, ICCIM website reported.
The Iranian official, who is heading a trade delegation, suggested working together in the fields of foodstuff, pharmaceuticals, and energy as well as a joint venture in marine transportation.
He stated that the current privatization policy in Iran is a good opportunity for expanding trade in such fields including recyclable energies, adding that Denmark could increase its investments in Iran.
Establishing a joint trade council, reviewing the chance of opening a commerce office in Copenhagen, and implementing joint projects in a third country were other measures Nahavandian suggested.
