Iran opens trade center in Sulaimaniyah

Tehran, Jan 31, IRNA - Iran’s Central Cooperative Chamber has set up a trade center in Sulaimaniyah, Iraq, in a bid to facilitate commercial interaction between the two countries.

According to a report by the Public Relations Department of the Chamber, following the establishment of the center, Iran’s Central Cooperative Chamber has invited all the businessmen, economic activists, producers, exporters, service suppliers as well as personal and legal entities to register at the center.

Only the applicants which have the ability to compete at the international level can benefit from the center’s facilities.

Sulaimaniyah is a city in the east of Iraqi Kurdistan. It is situated in the northeast of Iraq and is the capital of As Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

The modern city of Sulaimaniyah was founded in 1784 by the Kurdish prince Ibrahim Pashay Baban who named it after his father Sulaiman Pasha./end
