Iran welcomes expansion of ties with Belarus: Mashaei

Moscow, Jan 30,IRNA – President advisor and head of Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, who is in Minsk, in his meeting with Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko on Friday said Iran welcomes expansion of ties with Belarus.
Mashaei expressed pleasure with implementation of joint projects and cooperation in the field of energy and said there is no limit to cooperation between Iran and Belarus in other fields.
Mashaei, who has been in Minsk, capital of Belarus, since Wednesday, met with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday and discussed bilateral ties, and issues of mutual interest.
Iran and Belarus started their diplomatic ties in 1993 and now they have excellent relations and vast cooperation in different political, economic, energy and banking fields.
Currently, 18 Iranian companies and six joint venture firms are active in economic field in Belarus./end
