EARTH QUAKE JOLTS SABANG WATERS

Bandarlampung, June 19 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted the Sabang Sea, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam province at 7.35 am on Thursday, the Meteorological and Geophysics Agency (BMG) office here said on Thursday.
It said that the epicenter of the earthquake was found at 222 km north west of Sabang or about 242 km north west of Banda Aceh, capital of Aceh province in the western tip of Sumatra, Indonesia.
The quake's epicenter was about 30 km under the sea level and was located at 6.84 degrees northern latitude and 93.56 degrees eastern longitude.
