CHINESE AMBASSADOR VISITS AZERTAC

Baku, 28 January (AzerTAc). Chinese ambassador to Azerbaijan Zhang Yannian has today visited the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) where he met with organization`s Director General Aslan Aslanov
During the meeting, Aslanov spoke of the history of the agency which was founded by the Government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1920.
Aslan Aslanov also spoke of development path of Azerbaijan since national leader Heydar Aliyev returned to power, the national leader`s care and attention to the Agency, as well as accomplishments achieved in the country under President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership.
Director General stressed national leader`s contribution to deepening Azerbaijan-China ties
Aslanov noted AzerTAc is a member of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), adding the Agency is also one of the founder members of the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies (BSANNA) and Association of Turkish Speaking News Agencies (TKA).
Aslanov noted AzerTAc actively cooperates with China`s Xinhua news agency.
Chinese ambassador expressed his satisfaction with Azerbaijan-China relations. He expressed willingness to help foster AzerTAc-Xinhua relationship so that news exchange could promote better understanding and interaction of peoples of both countries.
Yannian vowed he would spare no efforts to further Azerbaijan-China bilateral relations.
