BAKU TO HOST CHESS TOURNAMENT TO MARK MACCABI SOCIETY`S ANNIVERSARY
Baku, January 28 (AzerTAc). An international conference and chess tournament in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the “Maccabi-Azerbaijan” Jewish Cultural and Sport Society will take place here in autumn.
The tournament will bring together over 8 countries of which Israel, India, and South African Republic confirmed their participation.
Director General of Maccabi-Azerbaijan Gennadiy Gelman said holding events under the aegis of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan in observance of society`s 10th anniversary will give a kick-start to development of Azerbaijan-Israel culture and sport cooperation.
