CABINET MEETING BRIEFING


Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Wednesday cabinet meeting resolved to allocate from the governmental reserve funds up to MNT 2,1 billion and MNT 459,6 million for the repair of the first maternity hospital and for transferring its activities to other similar hospitals.
- Bill will be submitted to parliament on ratification of supplementary protocol to International Pact on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights adopted by the UN General Assembly December 10, 2008.
- Finance Minister S.Bayartsogt is permitted to allocate from the government reserve fund USD 30 thousand to be transmitted to the UN Central Emergency Response Fund as a donation for earthquake-hit Haiti.
- In discussing the results of the participation of President Ts.Elbegdorj in the 15th conference of parties (COP15) in the Framework Convention on Climate Change, the cabinet charged a Foreign Minister G.Zandanshatar to present them to the National Security Council.
- Draft amendments to the law on intelligence agency will be submitted to parliament.
- Defense Minister L.Bold will attend the Conference of Afghanistan to be hosted in London January 28, 2010.
- The cabinet members heeded the results of official visits of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry to China and Germany.
