PRESIDENT PHONES OUTSTANDING ECONOMIST

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ On Thursday, before heading to Davos for World Economic Forum, the President Ts.Elbegdorj phoned Hernando de Soto, one of the world's great economists.
Mr de Soto, known for his works as the "Mystery of Capital" and the "Other Path", will visit Mongolia in February at invitation of the President. He intends to analyze a situation of Mongolia's economics and give a lecture titled "Secret of economic successes". A group of his expert has already arrived in Mongolia.
The State Head said he is satisfied with upcoming visit of Mr de Soto and thanked for sending the experts. The President said he would meet the economist soon after the WEF which is to wind up January 31.
