TURKISH SPEAKER PRAISES CHANGES OCCURRED IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 18 June, (AzerTAj)“It makes us very happy to see the great changes, which have occurred in Azerbaijan since I last was here 15 years ago,� Mr. Koksal Toptan, Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly leading a large delegation to Azerbaijan for celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the country`s Parliament, told journalists on Tuesday.
He pointed out that all this became possible due to
the tireless efforts by the national leader of Azerbaijan, late President Heydar Aliyev.
On the Armenia - Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the Speaker reaffirmed that Turkey`s position on the issue is open.
“No cooperation is possible with Armenia until the problem is fairly resolved�, Toptan said, adding the occupied territories of Azerbaijan must be released.
