China to grant Yemen $12 mln

SANA'A, June 18 (Saba)- Chinese ambassador to Yemen Luo
Xiaoguang uncovered on Tuesday that his country would offer a $12 million grant to Yemen.

During his meeting with Planning and International Cooperation Minister Abdul-
Karim al-Arhabi, Xiaoguang affirmed that many cooperation agreements would be
singed during
the upcoming visit of Chinese vice President Xi Jinping to Yemen by the end of June.

Xiaoguang and al-Arhabi also talked on the aspects of enhancing the cooperation
fields between Yemen and China and future common interests plans of both countries.

They discussed the arrangements made for the two-day visit of Chinese vice
president Xi Jinping to Yemen on June 25.

The two officials also talked on the preparations for holding the 8th meeting of
the Yemeni-Chinese Joint Committee due on 23-24 June.
