Ahmadinejad: Iran-Malaysia favor expansion of mutual ties

Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – The new Malaysian ambassador to Tehran conferred on Sunday with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on expansion of relations and cooperation between the two Islamic states.
At the meeting, President Ahmadinejad highlighted the high status of Iran and Malaysia in regional and global developments.
There exist ample potentials in both countries for deepening of bilateral relations between the two countries, said Ahmadinejad.
The new Malaysian ambassador submitted his credentials to President Ahmadinejad.
Existing mutual, multi-lateral as well as international cooperation between Iran and Malaysia is very constructive and promising, said President Ahmadinejad, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to further bolster relations in various fields with Malaysia.
The power of global arrogance and its unjust domination over the world is on the verge of collapse and the world is in dire need of a new world order, said the Iranian president, adding that Tehran and Kuala Lumpur could join hands in setting up a new world order based on justice.
All freedom-loving and justice-seeking nations around the globe should exercise vigilance and collectively help reconstruct the world, said President Ahmadinejad adding that the expectations of Muslim world from Iran and Malaysia is very high to this end.
The new Malaysian ambassador, for his part, described the two sides' relations as satisfactory and underlined the need to broaden bilateral cooperation.
Malaysia is committed to further deepen mutual and international relations with Iran, he said./end
