RI CIVIL AIRLINES NOW ADHERE TO INT'L SAFETY STANDARDS : MINISTER

Denpasar, June 17 (ANTARA) - All civil airline companies in Indonesia have adopted and are now applying international aviation safety and security standards, Transportation Minister Jusman Syafii Djamal said here on Tuesday.
"The application of international aviation safety and security standards is a guarantee that the Europan Uniton's ban on Indonesian flights to Europe will be lifted," the minister said.
Speaking to the press after opening the 3rd D-8 Working Group on Civil Aviation and Directors General Meeting, the minister said the application of international aviation safety and security standards by all domestic airline companies was being continuously monitored.
"Civil aviation authorities in Indonesia are not sleeping. They continuously conduct inspections on flight safety and security," he said.
