President to give "good news" on 20% fuel enrichment

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that he will soon announce some "good news" to the Iranian nation regarding 20 percent fuel enrichment.
President Ahmadinejad told reporters that he will announce the news within the coming weeks, which commemorate the Dahe-ye Fajr (10 Days of Dawn) and the lead-up to the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Attending the Majlis (Parliament) session for presenting the next year’s budget plan, Ahmadinejad referred to this good news in response to questions of reporters on lack of any reaction from the West to Iran’s proposals about supply of 20 percent enriched nuclear fuel for Iran’s nuclear research plant which is used for medical and agriculture projects.
The president called on Majlis deputies to discuss the next year budget along with the Fifth National Plan for Development and Justice simultaneously so that both will be handed over to the government by the beginning of next year. He said that Majlis is expected to ratify the budget plan in accordance with the policies incorporated in the fifth national plan.
He explained that reducing government costs along with a monetary increase in development and investment plans with a special focus on employment, promotion of investment and house building are among major aspects of the next year budget.
He also singled out the agriculture sector as the main element in the economic development of the country, adding that due attention has been paid to this sector in favor of the rural and deprived regions across the country.
Ahmadinejad remarked that the share of culture in the budget has been increased by fifty percent from this year’s figure of 3,000 billion Rials to 4,500 billion Rials.
The president noted that the notion of justice is the main characteristic of the next year budget in order to create opportunities and facilities for all people of the country./end
