Iran's current postion, highest in past 250 years - President
Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that Iran’s regional and international position has reached its highest in the past 250 years.
He made the remarks while addressing MPs. President Ahmadinejad attended the Majlis session Sunday morning to submit the budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year (to start on March 21) to the legislative body.
He expressed hope that the Islamic Republic would become a powerful economic pole in the region and in the entire world in the next few years.
Briefing the MPs on the general outlines of the budget bill, the President reiterated that the document has been compiled on the basis of the Fifth Development Plan (March 2010-March 2015).
As to the importance of cultural issues, he said the next year budge bill has paid due attention to the issue of culture.
He added that while compiling the document, the experts paid serious and special attention to administration of justice in the society./end
