Iran-Lebanon friendship week to be held in Beirut

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA -- The first Iran-Lebanon Peace and Friendship Week will be held in Beirut on the threshold of 19-Day Dawn celebrations marking victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Director of National Youth Organization’s Department for International Affairs, Mehdi Souli, said that the event will be held from January 28 to February 1 in line with a cooperation agreement signed earlier by the two countries.
He further noted that 30 Iranian youth will be dispatched to Lebanon to take part in the event.
Commenting on the peripheral programs of the week, Souli said that exhibition of photos and screening films for the youth are on the agenda.
Innovations and achievements of the youth will also be displayed in the event, he said.
During the inaugural ceremony in presence of the Iranian and Lebanese officials, head of the organization, Mehrdad Bazrpash, will address the audience.
Holding dialogues between the Iranian and Lebanese young elites is also on the agenda./end
