PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS CONSULT WITH STATE

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The External Trade and Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized Friday a consultative meeting on implementing program of providing external trade policy and foreign relations with economic policies. Some 60 representatives of over 40 professional associations took part in the conference to discuss in detail urgent problems and difficulties facing Mongolia's external trade, export and import.
The professional associations criticized that policy-makers, Ministries and offices do not understand problems affecting the private sector.
In addition, the gathered agreed that a lot of chances have been lost due to bad collaboration between professional associations and organizations of private sector. Mongolia's Association of Tourism (MAT) said,"As the government reports, Mongolia and Japan goverments intend to reach an agreement on granting Japanese tourists non-visa regime. If it is done so, a number of the tourists to Mongolia might increase by 50 per cent."
