Economic plan and finance reviewed
(KPL) An annual meeting of Economic Planning and Finance Commission's National Assembly took place in Khammouane province between 9 and 12 June, to review and evaluate a two-year work.
Under the co-chairmanship of Mr Khambai Damlath, Khammouane Governor, Mr
Khamsing Xayakone, Head of Economic Planning and Finance Commission where
was attended by representatives from ministries and other sector concerned.
Mr Khamsing disclosed that the main objective of meeting was to implement
in line with the contents of articles 32, 36, 38 and 39 which identified in
the charter of 6 and 7 of amended law on business related to the role,
rights and duties of Economic Planning and Finance Commission's National
Assembly.
He said that this meeting was to provide platform all participants to
review and evaluate the past implementation of Economic Planning and Finance
Commission (phase 2) regarding to the inspection mission and the
implementation of Constitution, law and resolution of the National Assembly
meeting and the five years plan of socio-economic development plan of the
sixth legislature, 2007-2008 plan and other national projects.
The participants have heard reports on the result of socio-economic
development activities over the past two years, from each constituency of NA
members.
