PACE TO DISCUSS SOME ISSUES ON AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 17 June, (AzerTAj) - A summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe (PACE) will discuss in June a number of issues regarding
Azerbaijan.
Samad Seyidov, head of the Azerbaijan`s parliamentary delegation to the PACE said
the agenda would include the fact that Armenia has not yet pulled out its armed
forces from the occupied Azerbaijan`s territories, cease-fire breach, ecological
situation and other issues.
According to him, several resolutions on the
fire-affected territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia have been introduced in
the PACE.
He noted the session would also discuss a report regarding Azerbaijan`s
honouring its Council of Europe commitments. “Some points in the report do not
satisfy official Baku.
The delegation of Azerbaijan will voice its protest in case
of any biased attitude towards Azerbaijan,� Mr. Seyidov said.
Samad Seyidov stressed the session would also discuss the situation in Armenia and report to be prepared by the CoE rapporteurs who would visit Armenia before the session.
