Tehran, Jan 20, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Education and Research Affairs said that Iran’s approach in the Persian Gulf region is defensive, not aggressive and is based on cooperation with regional countries.

Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad added no security system without Iran or other regional countries can be sustainable.
Khorramshad underscored that at the age of communication we should tell Iran’s stances to intellectuals without western media interference and just in such a situation we can be sure that they hear the existing reality.
The deputy minister said that necessity of rebuilding mutual confidence in the region of Persian Gulf was an issue which attendants in the meeting emphasized. They also discussed finding mechanisms for continuation of dialog.
Khorramshad added that west has humiliated Islamic world and consequently radicalism has emerged which was a reaction to the west radicalism.
He concluded that ideals of Persian Gulf countries are the same and disputes should be solved peacefully without interfering in each others' internal affairs.
So, we can reach a constant peace and political, economic, social and security cooperation in the region./end
