Ministry presents badge to outgoing French Ambassador

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Education and Training on Jan. 19 presented a badge to outgoing French Ambassador Hervé Bolot for his contributions to education development in Vietnam.

During his term between August 2007 and now, Hervé Bolot worked closely with the
ministry in the implementation of cooperation programmes between the two
governments.

He put forwards a number of initiatives to develop French in Vietnam . With the
support from the French Embassy, many refreshment courses for French teachers were
organised. Especially, hundreds of the teachers were retrained in France over
the past two years.

In addition, Hervé Bolot helped the ministry develop governmental-level projects
including the building of education centres at the Hanoi National University
, the Ho Chi Minh City National University and the National Economics
University .

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan
spoke highly of the Ambassador’s contributions and expressed his hopes that the
two governments will cooperate more closely in the field of education and
