YEMEN OIL REVENUES ROSE TO 85% IN 4 MONTHS

SANA'A, June 15 (Saba)- The Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) has announced that the Yemeni oil revenues reached $1.4 billion
during the first four months of 2008 compared with $789.4 million for the same period of 2007.

The CBY report noted that the rise of oil revenue came due to increasing oil prices in the international markets and oil production during January-April, 2008 reaching 14.52 million barrels with an increase of 1.06 million barrels compared with the same period of 2007.

Increase average for the two periods is estimated at 7.9 % in amount and 85.2 % in prince.

It is worth mentioning that oil revenues represent 70% of state revenues.
