President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has met the ambassador of Yemen to Somalia Ahmad Hamid Omar

SOMALIA, Jan. 15 (Saba) - The President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has
met the ambassador of Yemen to Somalia Ahmad Hamid Omar, who conveyed to him
greetings of
President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed and Omar discussed the current developments in
Somalia as well as the brotherly cooperation relations between the two countries.
The Somali President expressed conviction and condemnation of extremist statements
by some leaders of the Somali Youth Mujahideen Movement to support the terrorist
elements
of al-Qaeda in Yemen.
Sheikh Sharif noted that the terror has no homeland, confirming that the two
countries will strengthen their security coordination to counter terrorist
activities emanating
from Somalia, which target the security of Yemen.
The Somali President also praised Yemen's positions toward Somalia.
