ENVOY AFFIRMS SAUDI SUPPORT FOR AFGHANISTAN'S STABILITY

Kabul, June 15 (SPA) - Saudi ambassador to Afghanistan Ghorum Melhan
has reiterated the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to
Afghanistan and its keenness on the country's stability.

He said the Kingdom had earlier extended humanitarian assistance and
contributed to the reconstruction of the country.

He pointed out to horizons of cooperation between the two countries
in various political, religious and economic domains, and to visits
of Afghan officials to the Kingdom in 2007 and 2008.

It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom has recently extended about
300 tons of relief assistance including food materials, tents,
blankets and carpets to Afghanistan in line with the directives of
the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz
following the drought which hit the country.
