NEWS FROM DARKHAN-UUL

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A specialized exhibition has opened in a hall of the Darkhan-Uul aimag's Department of Education and Culture. It has been organized by the aimag's Book House.
The exhibition the first one of its kind this year, is showing models of airplanes made by pupils, paintings and books written by outstanding painters and writers. Present at the exhibition's opening ceremony were teachers of secondary schools, children, writers and journalists.

A campaign has started in the aimag for providing people with vaccines against swine flu virus. As of present, the aimag received 2,670 dozes.
Pregnant women, medical doctors, inspectors of custom and professional inspection agency, emergency workers and people with chronic lung illnesses will be injected in the first turn. For the time being, 350 people have been injected.

The aimag's thermal power station has accumulated a big amount of coal for reserve. On Wednesday, 85 wagons of coal arrived in the power station from Baganuur and other mines.
By doing so, the station had reserved coal for 13-15 days. At the same time, the station is facing financial difficulties due to long overdue payment for electricity.

The aimag's administration decided to spend MNT 920 million for repairing roofs of 114 apartments. The budget was adopted in 2009 in accordance with a decision made at a meeting of the Citizens' Representative Khural.
100 apartments' roofs will be repaired In Darkhan soum, roofs of 14 apartments will be repaired in Sharyn gol soum. Preparation for the repair has started, and a group led by M.Andrei, an expert of the Darkhan city's Administration Service, is conducting the repair works. This group includes the aimag's professional inspection service, the departments of external relations; construction and urban development, heads and specialists of association of apartment owners.
