Kyrgyzstan expects major projects in IT, tourism, and mineral resources, Kydyrbaev says

Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's main goal is economic growth, Uluk Kydyrbaev, Head of the Secretariat of the Business Development and Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, told Kabar at the B5+1 forum.

According to him, the country needs investment to achieve this goal.

"We work closely with developed countries and strive to attract the necessary modern technologies, equipment, and capital to Kyrgyzstan. What is the purpose of the B5+1 format? For more than 30 years, each Central Asian state moved independently, but over the past five years, we have come to a common understanding that if we do not work as a single region, the world will not recognize us. Only when we unite do large global companies show interest in us. Therefore, the five countries of the region have united, putting common interests first. "Similar events have previously been held in Japan, and two years ago, a similar forum was held in Almaty. Now it's being held here in Bishkek," he noted.

Kydyrbaev also emphasized that the main goal of such a large-scale forum is to move from theory to action. The main message of the event is that the time has come to act and jointly attract investment. Furthermore, major US companies are showing interest in the region, holding numerous meetings.

"Thanks to this, the conditions are being created for the implementation of specific projects. Large-scale projects in the technology sector are currently being launched. Investors are also showing interest in the mining industry, mineral resources, the IT sector, tourism, and healthcare," the head of the Secretariat added.
