Dubai, Feb. 2 (BNA): Rawan bint Najib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, participated in the ministerial session of the Arab Meeting of Young Leaders, held in the United Arab Emirates and attended by ministers and youth leaders from across the Arab world.

She affirmed that youth work in Bahrain represents an integrated national model based on strategic planning, measurable impact and sustainability, and is aligned with national priorities and development plans.

The Minister stressed the importance of transitioning from isolated initiatives to a comprehensive institutional framework for youth empowerment, ensuring effective youth participation in shaping the future and contributing to national development.

She highlighted the National Strategy for Youth Empowerment, which focuses on skills development, economic and community participation, talent development, and the promotion of national identity, creativity and innovation through high-impact programmes.

Tawfiqi also outlined key national initiatives, including the Al Bayt Al Oud Authority, which aims to strengthen national identity and values of loyalty and belonging among young people, and the Hope Network, launched in November 2024 as a global platform to enhance international cooperation, knowledge exchange and best practices in youth empowerment.

In the context of joint Arab action, the Minister emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise among Arab countries, noting that empowering Arab youth requires a collective vision and coordinated efforts that enhance youth competitiveness and participation in decision-making.

She concluded by expressing her appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for hosting the meeting and to the Arab Youth Centre and participating ministers for their efforts in advancing Arab youth work and cooperation.
