Deputy Prime Minister receives Qatari Ambassador

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA):  Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Nasser bin Abdullah Al Nassr, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the historical relations between the two countries and their peoples, noting the continued development of these ties under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, wishing him continued success in performing his diplomatic duties.

The meeting also reviewed issues of mutual interest and discussed means to advance cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples.

For his part, Al Nassr affirmed his commitment to work towards further strengthening bilateral cooperation and enhancing joint coordination between the two countries.  He also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
