Baghdad /NINA/- Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's commitment to supporting stability and preventing the escalation of conflicts.

A statement from his media office indicated that al-Sudani received Italian Ambassador Nicola Fontana on Saturday and discussed bilateral relations, ways to strengthen and expand cooperation for the benefit of both the Iraqi and Italian peoples, and the latest developments in the region.

According to the statement, al-Sudani emphasized Iraq's continued efforts to support stability, prevent the spread of conflicts, and prioritize dialogue in resolving crises.

For his part, the Italian ambassador conveyed to al-Sudani the greetings of his country's Prime Minister and Italy's desire to continue and expand economic cooperation and partnership with Iraq, as well as support Iraq's constructive role in consolidating regional stability and resolving its crises. /End
