Modern Houses Built in S. Hwanghae Province of DPRK
Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- Modern houses have been built at rural villages in Sinchon and Pongchon counties, South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.
The houses at the Poku Farm of Sinchon County and the Soksa Farm of Pongchon County, built in a diverse and unique way to suit the natural environment and meet the convenience of agricultural workers in their living, represent the true picture of the Korean-style socialist system.
Ceremonies of moving into new houses took place on the spots. Present there were officials of the Party and power organs in the province and the counties, builders and agricultural workers.
Congratulatory addresses were made and licenses for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by speeches.
Cheerful peasant music and dances were displayed at the new villages wrapped in a festive mood amid colorful art performances.
Officials visited the new houses to congratulate their owners.
Songs of happiness and laughter resounded throughout the villages which have taken on a new appearance of high civilization. -0-
