HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim praises HM the King’s address at Bahrain First celebration

Manama, Jan. 29 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), praised the themes of the address delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during the Bahrain First Festival 2026 celebration.
Her Royal Highness commended the profound content and lofty national meanings of the address, noting that it reinforces the values of belonging and pride in Bahraini identity, and affirms the position of the Bahraini citizen as the ultimate goal of development.
She noted that His Majesty’s address reflected a perceptive and forward-looking vision of the education journey in the Kingdom of Bahrain, particularly as it highlighted a significant milestone represented by the upcoming centenary of the start of formal government education for girls and the establishment of the first girls’ school in 1928. Her Royal Highness affirmed that this important and cherished national occasion reflects Bahrain’s early leadership and its firm belief in the importance of education as a fundamental pillar for building societies, shaping the future, and consolidating the values of progress and civilisation.
Her Royal Highness said that His Majesty the King’s keenness to prepare for this national occasion in a manner befitting its moral and historical value embodies His Majesty’s sound view of education as a long-term investment in people. She added that this also confirms the special attention His Majesty gives to documenting pioneering experiences that have contributed to presenting Bahrain’s civilised image, and to taking pride in the pivotal role played by Bahraini women since the earliest days, when they read, learned, and participated with awareness and competence in building their society and nation as fundamental partners in national development.
Her Royal Highness highlighted that what His Majesty said in his address is a source of pride for Bahraini women and a renewed motivation to continue their contributions. She emphasised that it further enhances the role of the SCW in continuing efforts to consolidate the gains of Bahraini women, build on the qualitative achievements realised under His Majesty’s support and work to document this bright journey and draw on its meanings in shaping initiatives and policies that support the sustainability of the progress and leadership of women.
