Teams Begin Arriving in Riyadh and Jeddah for AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026

Riyadh, January 04, 2026, SPA -- Asian national teams participating in the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ have begun arriving in Riyadh and Jeddah as part of the final phase of their preparations for the continental tournament, which the Kingdom will host from January 6 to 24, with the participation of 16 teams from across Asia.
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah are receiving the teams in successive waves. Arrivals are being handled in accordance with approved organizational and operational plans that include streamlined entry procedures, coordinated transportation, and direct transfers to the teams’ designated hotels. These arrangements are being implemented under the supervision of the local organizing committee of the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Upon arrival, the teams were transported to their approved accommodations in both cities, where full logistical, hospitality, and accommodation services have been put in place. This ensures a suitable environment for teams to begin their training programs and finalize their preparations ahead of the official competition, in line with the approved schedules.
