HM King receives US Congress delegation

Manama, Jan. 2 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a delegation of members of the United States Congress, headed by US Senator Markwayne Mullin, member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC). 

HM the King reviewed with the delegation the development of the longstanding historic relations between the two countries. His Majesty affirmed Bahrain’s pride in its strategic relations and strong partnership with the United States. His Majesty expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration to further strengthen and advance these relations at all levels. 

His Majesty also commended the efforts of the US Naval Forces Central Command in maintaining maritime security and protecting international navigation in the region, and praised the role of the American community in Bahrain and its contributions to various areas of development. HM King Hamad highlighted the United States’s role in maintaining regional security and stability and in promoting global peace, commending the efforts of His Excellency President Donald Trump to advance peace in the region and worldwide.

For their part, the US Congress delegation expressed their appreciation to His Majesty for his commitment to further consolidating the historic partnership and strengthening Bahraini-American relations. They also praised Bahrain’s vital role and its supportive positions in efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and globally.
