The Speaker of Parliament Discusses With The Jordanian Ambassador The Situation In The Region And Coordination On Issues Of Common Interest

Baghdad / NINA / -Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi met today, Wednesday, with the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Iraq, Maher al-Tarawneh, at the headquarters of the head of Taqadum Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi.

The Speaker's office stated in a press release: "The Jordanian Ambassador congratulated al-Halbousi on fulfilling his constitutional obligations and being elected Speaker of Parliament, wishing him success in his duties."

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two brotherly countries. They also discussed the situation in the region and the importance of coordination on issues of common interest. /End
